It might not have any big-city attractions, but there are still plenty of fun events to enjoy throughout the year, like Edgewater Riverfest, a 3-day festival on the river complete with rides, food, entertainment, and a Community Paddle. There’s also a Memorial Day Celebration, a Christmas Parade, July 4th Fireworks, EdgeFest, and regular chili cook-offs, barbecues, and much more.

Enjoy life on the water in Edgewater! The Indian River, part of the Intracoastal Waterway, is an amazing place for boating, fishing, swimming, paddling, and water sports. It also provides a channel to the open ocean for those looking to escape to deeper waters.

Plus, as a member of the Florida Paddling Trails Association, Edgewater is home to miles of paddling trails throughout Mosquito Lagoon Aquatic Preserve, all of which launch from Menard-May Park. Paddling around mangrove islands through beautiful landscapes of natural flora, go birdwatching, or even catch a glimpse of turtles, dolphins, or manatees!

With over 140 acres of parkland throughout the city, Edgewater is a great place for outdoor lovers. Miles of hiking and biking trails wind through the community, while beautiful parks offer amenities like ballfields, playgrounds, picnic areas, and even boat launches or fishing piers. Edgewater also contains pieces of the extensive East Coast Regional Rail Trail.
